A man who admitted to robbing seven Dallas businesses in 2013 has been sentenced to 32 years in federal prison. The U.S. Attorney's Office and the Dallas FBI announced that Jeremy Jermal Bonner, 25, is responsible for a series of violent armed robberies at Dallas gas stations, restaurants and liquor stores.

According to court documents, Bonner brandished a firearm at an employee before robbing the Movie Trading Company store located on Camp Wisdom Road in Dallas in August 2013. A few weeks later, Bonner robbed Buy Low Beverage Beer & Wine on Zang Boulevard at gunpoint.

Bonner also admitted to robbing the following Dallas businesses: The Hood Store, a Subway sandwich stop, a Shell gas station, Kiest Food Mart and the Waterboy store. During the Hood Store robbery, Bonner shot the clerk through the hand and torso.

This case was investigated by the Dallas Police Department; the FBI; and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Special Assistant U.S. Attorneys Michelle Allen-McCoy and Danial Gividen prosecuted. In addition to the 32-year sentence, Bonner was ordered to pay $1,675 in restitution.
