Watch a Tiny Boston Bruins Fan Adorably Fist Bump All the Players Before a Game

See, sometimes hockey fans can be really precious

The Boston Bruins beat the Florida Panthers 2-1 on Tuesday, most likely thanks to the support of a very enthusiastic young fan, hereby known as Tiny Fist Bump Kid.

Decked out in Bruins gear, Tiny Fist Bump Kid sat patiently as the team completed their pre-game warmups, and then raised his arm to give all the players fist bumps as they passed. The first bump, from Gregory Campbell, appears to come a bit too hard, but Tiny Fist Bump Kid manages to shake it off and continue his mission.

Even if you don’t care about hockey or children or fist bumps, this will warm your cold heart. Trust us.

See Neil Young’s Unique New Watercolor Paintings

One serves as the cover art for his new album, Storytone

Neil Young doesn’t just sing about painters — he’s also a painter himself. In his new memoir, Special Deluxe: A Memoir of Life & Cars, the musician shares watercolors and prints, all depicting one of his greatest passions: cars.

Young’s artwork is also on display in an exhibit at Los Angeles’s Robert Berman Gallery, now through the end of November. One of the paintings even serves as the cover art for Young’s latest album, Storytone, which debuted this week:

Here are a few of the other works that illustrate Young’s memoir:

“I started with photographs, then I started thinking that photographs didn’t really go anywhere — they’re just photographs,” Young told the Los Angeles Times about his foray into painting. So he tested out some watercolor and charcoal paintings — and ended up with around two dozen works illustrating his memoir.

Hear Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ Played With Ukeleles, Shakers and Kazoos

We can't stop, won't stop grooving to this

Are you sick of hearing “Shake It Off” yet? If your answer is yes, that’s nonsense because that song still has at least a month left before it becomes insufferable.

But if you do want to hear a new spin on the catchy Taylor Swift hit, check out this cover by Canadian five-piece rock band Walk off the Earth. They use ukeleles, kazoos and shakers to create a very chill but still upbeat version of the 1989 track. They even perform it while sitting beside some beautiful body of water at sunset for an especially chill vibe.

This isn’t the first time Walk off the Earth has taken on a Tay-Tay song. Here’s their cover of “I Knew You Were Trouble”:

A Brief History of Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift’s Mutual Respect and Adoration

Lamar and Swift have been vocal in their support of each other — and they also genuinely dig each other's tunes

Last night, Taylor Swift took to Instagram to celebrate her record album sales the best way she knew how: by jamming out to Kendrick Lamar:

Tay’s love for Kendrick, of course, is no secret. In a September interview with Rolling Stone, she said his “Backseat Freestyle” (which is the song she’s lip-synching above) is her “go-to” jam to help her “immediately go from feeling victimized to feeling awesome.” She proudly declared that she knew every word to the three-and-a-half-minute track.

Then there was the time Taylor rather enthusiastically rocked out to Kendrick’s performance at the Grammys while the rest of the crowd sat demurely in their seats. Who would have expected T-Swift to be such a big K.Dot fan? (K.Dot was Kendrick Lamar’s former rap name, in case you were unaware. We’re assuming Tay-Tay already knew that.)

Here’s the thing, though: the love is not unrequited. It’s reciprocal and it’s real (real, real, really really real). Yup — Kendrick feels the love too.

After Taylor’s shout-out in Rolling Stone, Kendrick had nothing but gratitude and praise for the country-pop singer. “I appreciate Taylor Swift for supporting not only my music but just the hip-hop culture,” he said in an interview with the Associated Press. “There’s really no gap. It’s music and it feels good.” He added that her comments helped show that hip-hop is something that can and should be enjoyed by everybody. “Some people always try to lock it down and categorize it for one particular listener,” he said. “But it moves all, even people from other genres.”

And in a recent interview with The Fader, Kendrick once again confirmed that he respects Taylor as a fellow musician — and, again, as someone who appreciates and enjoys music that’s wildly different from her own.

“Shout out to Taylor Swift,” he said. “You can’t put great music in different genres. I enjoy great music outside of my own music all the time, so I definitely can see where she’s coming from when she says that she listens to the record, and it’s a great thing for her to acknowledge that and put that good energy out into the world like that.”

But then, things got even better. When the conversation turned to Taylor’s recent hit “Shake It Off,” Kendrick proved that he doesn’t just respect her as a musician — he also genuinely enjoys her work. “I love that song,” he said, before launching into an impromptu sing-along:

“Yeah, I ain’t playin'” he said after. “I say what I mean, I mean what I say.”

Soon, a Dallas radio station asked Kendrick to freestyle over the “Shake It Off” beat, since he’s clearly such a big fan of the tune — and of course, he totally goes for it. “K.Dot, you know that he’s hot” he spits. “I can do rhythm, hip-hop, I can do pop.”

We can only hope the Kendrick/Taylor love continues to grow into something big and concrete (yet still, of course, platonic) enough for Taylor to one day write a song about it — a song that Kendrick would then cover.

Part of Entertainment Weekly's annual reunions issue

Well, this is so fetch: the cast of Mean Girls reunited for the film’s 10th anniversary, complete with interviews, photo shoots and plenty of nostalgia.

Entertainment Weekly rounded up the film’s female leads (so no Damian or Aaron Samuels here, sadly) for its annual reunion issue, which also includes a big Ghostbusters 30th anniversary feature.

To mark the occasion, EW made sure to ask all four actresses who played the Plastics — Amanda Seyfried, Lindsay Lohan, Lacey Chabert and Rachel McAdams — where they think their characters would be today. Their answers make total sense.

It's mostly depression and anger right now

Benedict Cumberbatch is officially off the market now that he has announced his engagement to actor and director Sophie Hunter. Understandably, all the sad Cumberbabes out there, convinced they had a shot with him, are incredibly grief-stricken. In fact, many of them are now experiencing the five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and, yes, even acceptance.

Naturally, it’s all playing out on Twitter.

Denial:

Anger:

Bargaining:

Depression:

Acceptance:

And then there’s this person, who basically experienced all the stages in one tweet, culminating with acceptance in the form of a begrudging congratulations:

Jon Hamm Is Incredibly Well-Versed in the World of Internet Cats

Watch him declare his extreme love for felines while wearing a sweatshirt that says "LIVE IN THE MEOW"

Last night, Jon Hamm made an appearance on Comedy Central’s @Midnight to give a rousing speech about something we now know he’s very passionate about: cats. Specifically, cats on the Internet.

He comes dressed for the occasion, sporting a sweatshirt with a cat and the slogan “LIVE IN THE MEOW.” He then quizzes three contestants (comedians Nikki Glaser, John Mulaney and Judah Friedlander) about the Bodega Cats Tumblr.

The main takeaway here, though, is that Jon Hamm is just really really enthusiastic about cats. Also, if anyone knows where we can get one of those sweatshirts, let us know.

A Woman Recreated That Viral Catcalling Video in New Zealand and Got Very Different Results

For starters, nobody catcalled her

Remember that video of a woman getting catcalled more than 100 times? The one that took over the entire Internet and launched approximately 87 million think pieces, tweets and blog posts? Well, the New Zealand Herald decided to test out a similar experiment, but in Auckland instead of New York City. The newspaper sent model Nicola Simpson on a walk around the city, with a hidden camera tracking her movements and her interactions with fellow pedestrians.

Spoiler alert: the results are drastically different. Sure, a few men do double-takes to check her out, but only two people said anything to her — and one was simply asking for directions.
