The attempt to contain the spread of Ebola in the United States is becoming political, with governors imposing varying, stringent, and sometimes unclear quarantine rules that are hard to enforce across state lines.

Russian hackers are suspected of breaching White House computers over the past few weeks, temporarily disrupting services.

The Washington Post reported Wednesday that the White House computer system had been infiltrated, but added that there’s no evidence the hackers had access to classified information or damaged any systems. The White House learned of the breach two to three weeks ago.

The FBI, Secret Service, and NSA are all investigating the breach which shut off Intranet or VPN access. The hack, however, did not manage to down the email system.

Rama was the eldest of four sons and was to become king. However, Rama’s stepmother wanted to see her son Bharata rule instead. The old king had once promised to grant his wife any two wishes she desired, and so she demanded that Rama be banished and Bharata be crowned. To show good faith to his father, Rama agreed to leave. Sita, Rama’s wife, begged to accompany him.

When Bharata — Rama’s stepbrother — found out what his mother did, he pleaded with Rama to claim his rightful place as king. But Rama refused to go against his father and only agreed to return when his 14-year banishment was over.

Later, Ravana, the 10-headed evil king, kidnaps Sita. Rama builds an army and vanquishes Ravana. It is said that people light up their houses to celebrate his victory. Now Diwali is celebrated with large fireworks shows to commemorate Rama’s return.

During the days leading up to Diwali, it’s traditional for people to clean and decorate their homes and offices with earthen diyas, lamps and rangoli — patterns created on the ground using colored rice or powder. During Diwali, families and friends dress in new clothes and share sweets and gifts.

Henderson said he didn’t get his inspiration from the beloved Robert Zemeckis film, but rather the Loma Prietra earthquake. Henderson told Engadget that he believes hover technology could solve a host of serious problems–perhaps to raise a building during an earthquake someday and eliminate risks for emergency workers.

The self-propelled Hendo, which is the 18th prototype and priced at $10,000, uses four disc-shaped magnets that create an electromagnetic field, generating a one-inch lift.

That means you won’t be hover to work any day soon–the Hendo can only levitate over surfaces that are a non-ferrous conductor, like copper or aluminum.
