BILOXI, Miss. - A showgirl festooned with feathers clutched an oversized pair of gold-colored scissors as a live brass band competed with the electronic clang of slot machines. A cadre of police with machine guns kept watch over a 62-pound nugget of gold brought out for display. Nearby, a gleaming white yacht with matching helicopter sat in dock and waited for the party to move onboard.
