Sweden’s Postal Service Is Putting Robyn, Max Martin, and Avicii on Stamps
Today, I'm taking a break from envying Sweden for its generous welfare state so that I can spend time envying it for its progressive taste in stamps. The country's postal service is out with a new set featuring contemporary Swedish pop stars including the deity otherwise known as Robyn, producer Max Martin, and EDM button-pusher Avicii.
This is a bit like if the U.S. Post Office had the daring to put Taylor Swift or Kanye West on a stamp—which I imagine would lead to some sort of angry and very analog letter-writing campaign by incensed American collectors. (Recall, these are the same people who managed to get ticked off by a Harry Potter series.) Anyway, check out some samples below (and a hat tip to Pitchfork).
