It is my distinct honor to serve as President of the Texas Lyceum, our state’s pre-eminent non-profit, non-partisan leadership organization.

One of the missions of the Texas Lyceum is to identify and develop the next generation of top leadership in the State of Texas and to do this, we invest in our Texas schools, communities, and future leaders by offering scholarship awards to qualified individuals.
The concept for the Stewardship of Texas Values Award was developed as a project in 1988 to honor Texas political leaders and business leaders who best exemplify the Texas principles and values for which this State and the Lyceum stand.
Each issue of the Journal is edited to be in keeping with the Lyceum's philosophy of valuing differing opinions by representing as many views and opinions of our State's leaders as possible.
