Take Action

Now is an especially important time to let Governor Cuomo know: Don’t Frack New York! Add your name below if you’re a New Yorker who wants to keep our air and water clean.

Dear Governor Cuomo,

I am concerned about the impact of fracking on our drinking water, air, climate and communities. I believe that fracking for shale gas is a danger to all New Yorkers.

No amount of regulation can make fracking safe. Cement in the wells cracks and leaks under the high pressure at such great depths, releasing toxins into our drinking water and the powerful greenhouse gas methane into the atmosphere. After Superstorm Sandy and Hurricane Irene, we know all too well the dangers of climate change.

Please don’t frack New York. Instead, let’s make New York the Clean Energy State, leading the nation in energy saving measures and clean energy production. Not only would we lower costs and increase jobs, we would protect our health, our environment, and our future.

I  call on Governor Cuomo to ban fracking in New York.

Hello my name is Ivan, I live in Cantabria, Spain, and I send you our full support in the campaign against fracking. Here, they have not started yet but already have research permits and surely soon begin drilling. Among the population there is a clear answer NO FRACKING HERE OR ANY SITE but you know how governments work, money, money and more money, and the rest nothing matters. I want you to know that however far we are from you, the support is total. I send, again, a big hug for you full of hope to stop this barbarism.

It is a strange world when the Pope and the new President of Iran look more liberal than western democratic leaders.

New Brunswick Canada has been slowing workers down and gathering supporters to stop shale gas and oil industry, it is claimed that our tiny province will have 20 % or it’s land mass fracked, and given that we are on the edge of Canada there is the Atlantic ocean in our back yard`
we were in the top for world’s natural wonders, with Hopewell Cape area and the Bay of Fundy ,with some of the highest tides in the world, people flock here from all over to witness it and other natural marvels we have here, with a strong maritime history of fishing ,farming, and even scientific innovations. Still Governments pressured by oil and gas continue to push ahead with fracking.
we wont let them do this, we can’t, there is too much to loose, and when you ruin the fishing, the farming, and the fresh water, what is there left?
Protect our water,,,,,,,,, Ban Hydro fracking.,, and lets do this right . <3

Hey morons, You think this is a Global conspiracy? Or maybe it is a safe and effective way to get natural gas?

Frack off Hollywood! I am a proud Colorado resident, fracking provides our state with natural resources, jobs, and a healthy tax revenue. There is no scientific evidence that fracking is harming our environment. To Hollywood I say….keep working on your movies and plastic boobs….and stay out of our state!
