Man injured in single-car crash into tree late Tuesday in Lake Highlands

Staff writer Katelyn Hall reports:

A 37-year-old man was hospitalized after the car he was driving slammed into a tree late Tuesday in Lake Highlands.

The man, who has not been identified, lost control of his Porsche around 11 p.m. in the 9900 block of Lake Highlands Drive near Easton Road, police said.

He was driving southwest when he hit the median and the car began to spin. He crashed into a tree. The man had been drinking, but police did not say whether he was over the legal limit to drive. Police are still working to determine whether slick roads were a factor in the crash.

The man was transported to Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas.
