    The operatives of both Jefferson County political parties are expressing deep frustration this morning at vote counting issues that ran deep into the night.12News was the only news outlet on hand early Wednesday morning at the Jefferson County voting barn when some votes were still being tabulated.The issue centered on "mail-in" voting.Counting station manager Bruce Drury told 12News, "There's a story here with the mail ballots.

    Beaumont firefighters battling two-alarm blaze at former retirement center.

    Beaumont firefighters Wednesday morning remain on the scene of a fire at the former Ridgewood Retirement center located at 2520 Interstate 10.

    The fire was reported shortly before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
