Gov. Rick Perry’s office on Wednesday defended awarding millions in Texas Enterprise Fund grants to companies without formal applications as being a problem that was resolved years ago.
Jonathan Taylor, who leads Perry’s economic development office, urged legislators not to limit the “flexibility” necessary for the state’s top three officials to decide who gets the money today.
