Tennessee Gas Pipeline - Northeast Upgrade

Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP) upgraded its 24-inch diameter 300 Line by adding 636,000 dekatherms per day of capacity following the completion an approximately $500 million project to provide more clean-burning, domestic natural gas to key Northeast markets. TGP constructed five, 30-inch diameter pipeline loops and modified four existing compression stations. A pipeline loop is a segment of pipeline installed adjacent to an existing pipeline and connected to the existing pipeline at both ends. These five loops closed out the remaining unlooped segments of TGP’s existing 300 Line east of Bradford County, Pa. into New Jersey. The project was completed and placed into service on Nov. 1, 2013.
