He originally was a pitcher drafted in the 2nd round of the 2002 MLB draft by the Yankees. He was traded around the league, until he left in 2006. He enrolled at Oklahoma State in 2007. In 2010 he was named Oklahoma's starter and played a fantastic 2010 and 2011 season before entering the NFL draft.

He was in Minor League Baseball from 02-06(I think, not sure if it's 08 or 06). That's why he's so old. He went straight to the minor leagues from high school.
