Dr. Ken Morgan obtained degrees in geology, environmental engineering and resource management before starting his career as a professor at TCU in 1978. In 1981, he started and became Director of the TCU Center for Remote Sensing and Energy Research for energy resource mapping. Dr. Morgan has lectured extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East about resource mapping, energy technology and emerging natural gas markets. In 2008, he founded and became Director of the TCU Energy Institute and established an Advisory Board of 24 energy companies. He is also the Director of TCU¹s new School of Geology, Energy and The Environment. Ken has published numerous articles on the potential use of domestic natural gas in the U.S. He currently chairs the Texas ³Metroplex NGV Consortium² of over 100 companies and helped lead the successful legislation for the Texas NGV Transportation Triangle, Texas Senate Bill SB-20. He also enjoys driving a Honda GX-NGV to help promote the use of clean burning natural gas.

Larry Brogdon has been a practicing geologist since 1974. Most of that time involved in petroleum exploration and production. Most recently he was a partner with Four Sevens Oil Company located in Fort Worth, Texas. Four Sevens sold their Barnett Shale properties in 2004 to XTO Energy. In 2006 they sold their newly acquired Barnett acreage and production to Chesapeake Energy and did the same again in 2007. For the last several years, Larry has taught the “Prospect to Production” class through the TCU Energy Institute. He presently serves as Chairman of the Board of Advisors to the Energy Institute.

Veronica Merrill came to TCU in March of 1998. She began her career in the Registrar’s Office her first year followed by eight consecutive years with the Dept. of Computer Science. In the fall of 2008 Veronica became the administrative assistant to Dr. Ken Morgan, Director of the TCU Energy Institute; along with coordinating activities and meetings for over 230 members of the TCU Energy Club, the 24 member Energy Institute Board of Advisors and the 100 member Metroplex NGV Consortium. Veronica’s overall knowledge in budget management, event coordinating, public relations, web-site management and people skills have made her a true asset to the Energy Club and Energy Institute.

Victoria Barth provides strategic communication and news and media relation services for the TCU Energy Institute, including social media. Victoria obtained a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and advertising, and a master’s in liberal arts at TCU, graduating with honors both times. She has worked in the corporate world (RadioShack, Northrop Grumman, EFJohnson Technologies) and in college publishing, marketing and communication (Harcourt Brace, Prentice Hall, McGraw-Hill, Wadsworth, Houghton Mifflin). This is her second position at TCU. Victoria has earned numerous communication, design and campaign awards and is an active community volunteer. As a native of Fort Worth, she has been a Horned Frog all her life, with numerous alumni family members.
