Neiman Marcus Unveils Christmas Fantasy Gifts

DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) – It’s the most wonderful time of the year for Neiman Marcus.
The company just unveiled its 88th annual Christmas Book and the department store’s drool-worthy fantasy gifts.
The book boasts items for just $15. But, as is tradition, Neiman Marcus has unveiled a list of 10 exquisite “fantasy gifts” that are much more expensive.
For example, a Jet Ski plus ATV that can go from water to land in less than 5 seconds at $50,000 each.

You can also get the star treatment for $65,000, which includes a six-foot-tall large outdoor garden peacock, designed by celebrity event planner Preston Bailey.

For your favorite mixologist, there’s a $35,000 Tanqueray imperial shaker, which is a fancy 6-foot-tall contraption to churn out drinks included with a year’s supply of the gin and cocktail-making lessons from an expert!
For someone who deserves some unique bling, there’s a trip to Germany to design a unique locket with a stone and then off to New York to have a family portrait made for the necklace all for $100,000.

The book also features a 100th Anniversary Neiman Marcus Limited-Edition Maserati Ghibli S Q4, one of only 100 vehicles of its kind, celebrating the Italian car company’s centennial anniversary. The car is $95,000.

“What we’re trying to do, obviously, is find something that really sparks the imagination. I know a successful gift when somebody says ‘Who in the world would buy something like this?’ said Ginger Reeder, Neiman Marcus, Vice President of Corporate Communications.
Neiman Marcus will donate a portion of the proceeds from each fantasy gift purchase to The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation which is devoted to bringing arts education to youth nationwide.
