Shinola, the Detroit-based maker of handcrafted watches, leather goods, bicycles and Bruce Weber-approved pet accessories, introduces this week its first titanium timepiece, the Black Blizzard, inspired by the grit of the 1930s Dust Bowl era. Like some of the brand’s other watches linked to American histories and figures, the Black Blizzard comes with a leather-bound coffee-table book, which documents dust storms in the Great Plains through rare photos and newspaper clippings from the decade.
