Helga Aurisch, curator of European art for the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, talks about the exhibition Monet and the Seine: Impressions of a River, which explores Claude Monet's (1840-1926) fascination with the waterway he referred to as his "studio." The exhibition is comprised of over 50 paintings on loan from international collections and chronicles Monet's movement along the Seine throughout his career, as well as the development of his exceptional painting technique.

The exhibition is on view through February 1, 2015, at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.
