2014-15 college hoops postseason, Player of the Year predictions

Almost there, everybody. Just eight days until the 2014-15 college basketball season kicks off in earnest. We hope you've enjoyed the array of preseason content we've been rolling out over the past month. Today we're offering up our experts matrix of the biggest awards and predictions from myself and our panel of experts: our dart throws at the Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Coach of the Year and the Final Four/national champ picks.

It's always fun to see where we differ. We're sure you'll hold us to these picks. Feel free to compliment or rib each of us on Twitter over them.

Picking a Final Four in the preseason is always an interesting task. Only once, ever, have the four No. 1 seeds reached the ultimate stage. So do you pick who you think are the four best teams -- or have a little fun with it? I went with the latter while sticking with the team I think will be the best in college hoops at the end of the season as my national champ.

Fun fact: Mike Krzyzewski has never won the Associated Press' national coach of the year award. Now's as good a year as any to walk that ledge and proclaim the Hall-of-Famer gets it.
