State Scrambles To Fix Problems With Voter Site
ATLANTA (AP) — As voters headed to the polls Tuesday, state officials scrambled to fix problems with a website that’s supposed to help Georgians find their poll locations.
Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp said the problems involve the “My Voter Page” at the agency’s site.
Kemp said in an email to CBS 46 that the site was experiencing “intermittent problems” with speed. He said many users were directed to an error message.
Kemp said workers were trying to fix the problems. He advised voters that they can check their registration status or locate polling places by calling the agency’s elections division at 404-656-2871 or emailing kemp@sos.ga.gov.
Messages left by The Associated Press Tuesday morning were not immediately returned.
