We live down the street but thought we'd bring the kids out for a swim. Pool is about 60 feet long and great for kids. 5 ft at center and drops at sides. Adjacent pool is about 60' and only one foot deep all the way thru. Perfect for kids.

Rooms are clean and nice. . Room is very spacious. While it's not a Hyatt. . you're not paying thru the booty. At about $80 is great deal.
On check in the gal (Samantha) was overrun with calls but managed to get is a clean room. House keeping was swamped due to lack of staff on hand. I made a comment jokingly and manager who happened into area over heard me and corrected me. ..I really commend a supervisor who protects and goes to bat for workers and didn't throw them under the bus. She defended her people's efforts to maintain. Awesome!

Nothing in this world is perfect!

Stayed with my husband and young daughter while we were in town for a long weekend. The rate was $50 +tax a night. I was told The room was in the "newly remodeled" part of the hotel. There was no way. The only "new" part of the room was granite countertops. Paint/ drywall was peeling off of the walls. The sheets and blankets had what looked like cigarette burn holes in them. Thin bedspreads had lint balls on them. Housekeeping came at 9 am the first day and I asked for them to come back, but in the meantime I asked for fresh towels. They made me give them the dirty ones before they would give me fresh ones. I could not get fresh towels for the next 2 days of my stay. We had to keep re-using our dirty towels; just hanging them up so they were partially dry before our next shower. No housekeeping came for the rest of our stay until our last morning. When I complained to the housekeeper, she left to investigate and came back to show me notation that I had "refused" service. That was not the case, they never came!!! Our trash was overflowing and we ran out of toilet paper. We had to use take out bags to contain our trash. (The trash cans were tiny) the pool was nice, but the shallow part for the kids was dirty with foliage. I will not recommend this place to anyone I know. When I checked out, I complained as politely as possible to the front desk clerk and all I got was a "sorry" with no offer to rectify.

The location of this hotel is perfect! It is only a few miles to the outlet mall, just down the street from a relatively safe border town, and about an hour to the best beach in Texas, South Padre. This is an older hotel. It used to be a Best Western. They have revamped the pool area and updated the rooms. The pool is really large and very well maintained. The rooms are very clean and look a lot more polished and the water smells better (it used to have a strong stench). The rooms are quiet, away from the pool. Parking is plentiful.

The most memorable thing about this hotel is their breakfast. It is included with your nightly rate. It is better than any of the chains! The gentleman that makes the eggs or omelet for you is amazing! He makes the egg around the omelet paper thin, yet it never tears. I don't even like eggs, but I love eggs when he makes them. Please remember to tip him. Then, the wait staff.... There is a man that has worked there for years. He treats everyone as if they were in a fine dining establishment. I am sorry I never got either of their names. They are wonderful!

Samantha at the front desk was great upon checking in. She was not on duty when we checked out, and the young lady working the front desk would not allow us to check out an hour late. She said she would charge us $30 if we weren't out by 11:30. We wanted a 12:00 check out. Too bad that was our last impression on our stay.

Overall the stay was great. We stayed for 3 nights and we were very relaxed. The rooms are nice but the outside could be modernized. Size of hotel makes it very nice and spacious, good service, fair price

Stayed one night for a business expo that was being held at the hotel. Rooms are spacious and okay for the price. Breakfast is included, I attempted to get some but by 8:30am on a Monday it was completely gone and they informed me they would NOT be making more. Other than that the staff was nice pleasant.

It was great that a breakfast buffet was included. I enjoyed the food and good service. I loved the large size of the room which had everything I needed and wanted. The room and the bathroom met my approval for cleanliness.
