The 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo created what we know today as the United States – Mexico border. At 1,969 miles, Texas shares the longest border with Mexico with the most crossings; more than California, Arizona, and New Mexico combined. For most of modern history, this hasn't been a great concern, but it is today. However, with differing accounts amidst the debate over immigration, it is hard to know what is taking place. Register for the waiting list for the chance to join the Texas Public Policy Foundation for an informative panel discussion to understand what really is happening along the Texas border.
