An Unvarnished Interview With T. Boone Pickens
Crude oil prices are plunging, but T. Boone Pickens isn’t surprised. The billionaire oilman has seen plenty of spikes and dips during more than 60 years in the industry, including some he predicted.
Texas is producing more oil than it has in 30 years, and pumping twice as much as it did just three years ago. It now accounts for more than one-third of all U.S. production. The surge, however, comes as a stagnant global economy slows demand.

Arrogant individual who shows no concern for ordinary people.
Pickens consistently talks about fracking as if it's still performed the same way it was 60 years ago. He often states that fracking has been used for over 60 years and has never harmed the environment. That is a lie. There are numerous incidents in which fracking wastewater containment ponds have had berm failures and contaminated nearby drinking water sources. There was also an incident in PA when a fence around a containment pond failed and cattle that drank from the pond died.
Bottom line - Pickens lives in a fantasy world. He should not be taken seriously.

So, let's get a fracking well next to his house!

Pickens is apparently unaware of the contributions of fracking to drought in this state. To him, it's all about money.

Great interview, but way too short. Did he grow tired of your wanting to keep taking the discussion toward Denton and that band of naysayers and shut'ur down early? His energy plan has all sorts of merit, yet you hardly dwelled on it. I'm disappointed in you, Jim.
