FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - One of the two people accused of mishandling corpses this past summer at the Johnson Family Mortuary in Fort Worth appeared in court on Thursday morning.
Dondre Johnson and his wife, Rachel Hardy Johnson, both face seven counts of abuse of a corpse.
It was back in July that specialists from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office discovered eight neglected bodies — one of them an infant — in the Johnson Family Mortuary building. The bodies were found after the building’s landlord evicted the couple and then stumbled upon all of the decomposing bodies.
