In order to have a shot at victory in the Texas governor's race, Democrat Wendy Davis needed to pick off counties that went Republican in 2010. Political Science 101. You've got to stand up for what you believe in and stand by your vote. The Dems ran from what defines them as Democrats. Running from Obama pissed a lot of their base off. Especially African Americans. If you allow the otherside to attack you and frame your message for you, this is what you get.
This wasn't a rebuke of President Obama. This was yet another DNC failure. Cowards. Too busy watching polls and got scared. We need to challenge these Republican lite Dems and weak Dems in the primaries. We've made it too easy for the Dems.

As expected Greg Abbott won TX. However the message sent by the voters is that he won by 20 points. That is a huge trouncing. Perry defeated White by 13 points, then the left launched their Turn Texas Blue campaign. This combined with many seats that went to the Republicans in TX shows what a failed campaign that was. Texas is redder than ever! Hallelujah!

Once again I would like to explain something to some chest thumping politicians and self-promoting pundits. This election cycle once again was won by a majority of the minority who registered & voted in the process. A few facts: Nationwide voter registration for total US eligible voters was 62%, the latest voter turnout figures I have are 43%. So let’s say Gov. Abbott winds up capturing 54% of the vote that means he was selected by (.54X.43X.62=)@ 14% of the electorate…so once again the militantly apathetic will be ruled by a distinct minority…don’t you just love facts, numbers and stuff?
