State Treasurer Nappier Declares Victory

(Hartford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) - Democratic state treasurer Denise Nappier is announcing her reelection to a fifth term.

Nappier released a statement this afternoon calling Tuesday’s election “hard fought” and called her victory over GOP challenger Tim Herbst one for the Connecticut voters.

The treasurer expressed her graditude for the support she received.

Going forward, Nappier says tough issues have to be addressed with the same vigor that ensured her reelection.
