Eligibility Requirements

Is your company a great place to work? Do you love the environment your employer has created?
Then tell us about it!

Nominate your company today for our 13th annual Best Places to Work Awards

To get started, complete this form and follow the steps below. Frequently asked questions and answers are listed below as well.

To be eligible, your company must have a minimum of 10 employees in the seven-county North Texas region: Dallas, Collin, Denton, Tarrant, Rockwall, Ellis and Kaufman counties. Company headquarters may be elsewhere, but eligibility is determined solely by the number of North Texas employees.

Here's how the process works:

STEP 1: Nomination

By February 20, a human resources officer or other representative of your company or nonprofit must complete and submit this nomination form.

STEP 2: Survey Process

Nominees from all qualifying companies will then receive an email from Quantum Workplace. Quantum Workplace will work with participating companies to arrange a confidential online survey of employees. The surveys will be sent on February 25.

Category requirements are as follows and are subject to change based on nominations received:

  • Small = 10 to 100 North Texas employees
  • Medium = 101 to 500 North Texas employees
  • Large = 501+ North Texas employees

STEP 3: Data Crunching

After the survey closes, Quantum processes the data and provides the Dallas Business Journal with the scores of all participating companies. The Dallas Business Journal then names finalists based on a national best-practice score.

Upon the close of the data-collection period, you will receive an email from Quantum that links you to a free category overview for your results. Some advanced reporting options are available for purchase through Quantum.

For questions about the survey process, please contact Quantum's Cassie Neary at (402) 408-4162

STEP 4: Honoree Announcement

Best Places to Work honorees will be announced in the Dallas Business Journal and online by mid-April. Note: Companies will be announced in alphabetical order by category. Official rankings will be announced for the first time at the awards luncheon.

STEP 5: Awards Luncheon

The awards luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, June 18. All companies featured on the 2015 list must have at least one person attend the luncheon to accept the award on stage.
