Who We Are

Serve Denton is a 501(c)(3), community-based nonprofit organizaladder tion that exists to help other nonprofits fulfill their mission and advance the common good of Denton County through co-location, collaboration, and communication. More than 30 nonprofits wish to locate in our center; we’ll charge them $1 in rent each year and they will share utility fees. We’re preparing the way for nonprofits to share space, information, and ideas in an environment that benefits the whole community.

Our community needs one central place that offers help to those in need. Our nonprofits are spread across the county, making it difficult for those in crisis to find all the resources they need to reach self-sufficiency. Some of our most important services are not accessible by public transportation, and overhead costs are restricting the work agencies can afford to do. Our nonprofits need a professional, inspiring atmosphere to welcome clients, donors, and volunteers, all in a place that saves their scarce dollars from high rent costs and helps them be more efficient.

We’re bringing help in the form of 36,000 square feet of available space as the home for the nonprofits of Denton County. Once we relieve their rent costs from current monthly rates down to $1 a year, they can invest their fundraised dollars right back in our community, helping those who need it most. With so many important agencies all in one place, services will be easier to find for those in need, and we can get more people on the ladder to self-sufficiency with fewer falling through the cracks. We’ve already started connecting nonprofits through our CAReS technology, offering a level of innovative communication that’s groundbreaking. We’re seeking to bring agencies together who represent 19 areas of need so they can collaborate to help their clients reach self-sufficiency.
