Texas Register

State Rules and Open Meetings

A weekly publication, the Texas Register serves as the journal of state agency rulemaking for Texas. Information published in the Texas Register includes proposed, adopted, withdrawn and emergency rule actions, notices of state agency review of agency rules, governor's appointments, attorney general opinions, and miscellaneous documents such as requests for proposals. After adoption, these rulemaking actions are codified into the Texas Administrative Code.

The Office of the Secretary of State posts the current issue as well as approximately one year of previous issues on our site. Older issues (June 1991 - present) can be accessed through the University of North Texas back issue archive link under the Points of Interest. Issues are posted to the website no later than 5 p.m. on the publication day.

CDs (subject to availability) or photocopies of older issues may be purchased from this office by calling (512) 463-5561 or e-mail register@sos.texas.gov

Open meetings for both state and regional agencies may be accessed through the Open Meetings link on the left-hand side of this page.
