AGENCY LEADERS SIGNS 2020 VISION PLAN AT CONFERENCE
During Friday’s lunch panel on October 17, Bureau of Land Management Director Neil Kornze, Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe, Forest Service Chief Thomas Tidwell, and National Park Service Associate Director Cam Sholly signed 2020 Vision, a strategic plan for the next 10 years of wilderness. U.S. Department of Interior Secretary Sally Jewell joined a cadre of more than 20 diverse keynote speakers including author Terry Tempest Williams, longtime wilderness activist Dave Foreman, The Wilderness Society President Jamie Williams, and astronaut Joseph Acaba to discuss contemporary issues in wilderness stewardship and designation.
