Former Dallas council member Ron Natinsky to run for Dallas County Judge

Former Dallas City council member Ron Natinsky announced today that he’s running next year for Dallas County Judge.

“There is broad agreement that Dallas County government has veered dangerously off the right track,” Natinsky said. “That’s is very costly to the nearly two and a half million people who live or work here. My goal is to help bring Dallas County back on course.”

If Natinsky wins the GOP nomination for county judge, he’ll likely face incumbent Democrat Clay Jenkins in the 2014 general election.

Jenkins, D-Highland Park, is serving his first term as county judge.

Natinksy is the only major GOP candidate in the race.

The Dallas Republican served six years on the City Council. In 2011 Natinsky lost a Dallas mayoral race to Mike Rawlings.
