Metal Shop is here bringing you your favorite 80′s hair metal rock! They’ve been rocking stages, servicing groupies and abusing roadies since 1982 back on the Sunset Strip. It all started when the band was living in Ratchett’s mom’s basement. Ginger claims “We saw a Def Leppard video on MTV (back when MTV was cool) and saw all the hot chicks that they were getting. We wanted hot chicks too, but the only way to get hot chicks is to be in a band, wear tons of makeup, cool clothes and have big hair, so we decided to start a band. We’ve been around since we were born.”
So sit back and enjoy the sounds of Gun’s ‘n Roses, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Ozzy, Metallica, Poison, Tesla, Winger, Cinderella, AC/DC, and more while watching a true 80′s rock arena style concert complete with spandex, eyeliner, hairspray and rock ‘n roll banter! Don’t let the name fool you, Incognito is a highly visible and sought-after cover band. Formed in 1989, Incognito has become known throughout the Dallas Metroplex for their stellar productions, powerful stage presence and legions of loyal fans. With an extensive song list comprised of alternative and classic rock as well as dance hits, Incognito has established itself over the years as one of the hardest working cover bands in North Texas.
Founding members Kevin Davis, Jeff Gilpin and Michael Meyers continue their longstanding tradition of playing standing room only shows. The exciting addition of Paul Law has enabled Incognito to expand its already versatile repertoire.

Phlip Coggins was born on the dusty dry plains of West Texas on March 27, 1985. From the age of 12 he has been writing songs and creating music, beginning his professional career at 17. Throughout his life he has learned almost every instrument with the exception of brass, and woodwinds. Coming from a history of very diverse bands, that he as also fronted, Coggins has managed to touch multiple genres. He focuses on the integrity of the songwriting, expanding genres, and blending them together. In March of 2012, after residencies in Los Angeles and Austin, and spending years on the road, he released “Soljourn” a 6 track EP focused heavily on his Reggae influences and adding textures of Rock and Pop. Soljourn was written, performed, and arranged solely by himself. The last song titled “Weight of the Gun” brought numerous vocal talent to the table and layered a 7 part horn section (Nick Shute) that includes trumpet and marching French horn. The song is explosive!
When performing live, Phlip sometimes plays solo, although recently he has been fine tuning with his full band (The Lotharios), a gut punching, in your face, five piece with players as diverse as himself. Hendrix like tones and hard grooves stay at the center with touches of soul, reggae, blues and screaming sax. He is a master at looping and constantly amazes crowds with the wall of sound he creates from just a guitar and some pedals, often confusing people coming into the venue thinking that a huge band is on stage, and ROCKIN! Being a drummer before he ever played guitar, his sense of rhythm and timing is impeccable, and the beats: SOLID.
One thing is for sure, this is an artist you will definitely need and want to watch. Stay Tuned.
