The Republican candidate for governor said he was buoyed by the long lines at the Randall’s grocery store in south Austin, where he cast a vote alongside his wife, Cecilia, and his teenage daughter, Audrey.
“I feel good,” Abbott said. “I feel good about the long line that we were in. Voter turnout seems to be up today, but I’m going to be campaigning today through Election Day because I want to ...

Oh sure 5 days from the election he's now calling it "The Valley", for the last couple of years he's referd to it as a "third world country".... But sure Latinos are just gonna let that one slide.

They won't be voting for Abbott! He seems to think the commercial with his Latino mother-in-law will influence them to vote for him....

The man is as delusional as his supporters. And I'll be glad when I don't have to see his mother in law campaign commercial. Go Wendy Davis!!!

Even with all the Democratic corruption, mail ballot fraud, politiquerras, voter assistance abuses, and Drug monies used for Democratic GOTV, Abbott will get very close to winning the Valley! #ImWithAbbott

It's not just Latinos here in the Valley. I voted today and not for Mr. Abbot. He does not speak to me. Or for me.

Wow, positive word choice from texas tribune about Abbott. What a surprise. Your bias continues to entertain.

Just another billionaire bought Republican.

I'm sure he'll get the vote of some aspirational Republicans down there.

That's pretty ridiculous! I don't know any Latinos who would vote for Abbott. Some people are smart enough to not vote against their best interests. I voted for Wendy Davis because she speaks for everyone, not just old, white, rich men.
Chuck Waldrep via Texas Tribune on Facebook
Because if all he has done for them?Or because like the Bushes he has some little brown ones.

disgusting man…in every sense. Shameful and tragic if we ( not me) elect him.

It's hard for me to imagine why anyone of Texans spirit would support a candidate for elected office who wants respect, accessibility, and accommodations for their own disability, yet who tries to deprive three million other Texans with disabilities of those same rights by repeatedly using their power to argue in federal and state courts, though unsuccessfully, that Texas does not have to comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act. That is just not what the spirit of Texas is about.

You people need to stop drinking that democrat kook aid. The RGV is like a 3 world country with all of the connection politicians have. Look at our the old sherif and the drug unit or the jp that's just got indicted.. Be smart vote for the best candidate not for a party.

Yeah that's what we need another dumb bag like Perry... No way Abbott!

If Hispanics support his candidacy they will be sadly disappointed and not included in the Abbott agenda.
Sam Davis via Texas Tribune on Facebook
He made sure some can't vote against him by use of voter ID. Apparently Abbott has a low estimation of the Valley's IQ.
Enrique Elizondo via Texas Tribune on Facebook
Not omnly crippled but also stupid
Daniel Grossi via Texas Tribune on Facebook
Even with all the voter fraud being perpetrated by the democrats recently there's no way any will win. Wendy doesn't stand a chance and she can thank her stance on the issues
Olga Pina via Texas Tribune on Facebook
He means 'the third world country' referring to Latinos in the valley of South Texas...HYPOCRITE!
John Morales via Texas Tribune on Facebook
Two things to never argue with someone, religion and politics. It's pointless. All the ranting and blathering these past few months won't mean a thing on November 4th. All the numbers indicate that Abbott is poised to win and so is Patrick. By the way, those who haven't been to the valley but denounce the third world comment anyway are just plain fools. It's terrible there. I've been to third world countries and I see very little difference. It's depressing and its been that way for a long time. The only hopeful change may come from the oil companies that moved in decently.
