Update: UNT News assistant manager Ellen Rossetti said the fire appears to be accidental and no one was injured. UNT Police Department and the Denton Fire Department investigated and concluded that the fire started when a container used for cigarette butts accidentally caught fire.
Original post: A fire broke out on the back porch of the Sigma Nu fraternity house this morning and burned a portion of the wooden deck and the roof. The cause of the fire and whether there are any injuries is unknown at this time. We will continue to update the story as we receive more information.
