Rated 5 out of 5 by from Their best one yet! We rely on Roku to replace our cable and it has done a fantastic job thus far. We control what we watch when we want to watch it! Anything not included in our existing subscriptions we are happy to pay for and we are saving money over our previous cable bill. As a long time user of Roku, we are ecstatic about the improvements to the UI. Moving within the new UI is smooth and the new layout is beautiful. There is more content and more features. The video quality is better than what we could stream with our previous model (XDS). All in all, this is the best model Roku has put out yet. FULL DISCLOSURE: We received this unit in exchange for writing a review.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Epic Fail I recently got the Roku device as a gift. I was quite excited at first as I continue to use the device it has been a disappointment. I will not be recommending this device to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Roku 3 I just got my Roku 3 last week as a gift and really love it. Think how much you value the entertainment at your finger tip when you're on a flight. Now you have it right at home, and much more. There are so many channels (750 of different types, movies, music, games, etc). I was really overwhelmed at first. Luckily, Roku helps you out by splitting them into many categories together with good description and user ratings. Being not really a tech-savvy person, I find the navigation is really intuitive. It did not take long for me to learn. I really love the one-stop search functionality. When I forget which channel I watched the movie on, I use this to look-up instead of checking back each channel 1 by 1. Also, when I tell my daughter new good movie so she can watch on her Roku, this also saves me the trouble of remembering the channel, she can perform the search herself. Besides American movies, Roku also has channels featuring Asian movies and dramas, i.e. Asian Crush, Kdrama, Drama Fever, Crunchyroll. These channels are all free and have decent to good quality. This is really a plus. Roku 3 has a headphone jack in the remote control. I haven't used this, but I'm sure it's very useful for people who wish to enjoy the entertainment on Roku without disturbing people around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roku 3 .......Wow! First I have to say I am somewhat of a tech geek...I have or have had all the gadgets within financial reach. I was one of the first to purchase the Logitech Revue because it was such a great concept...if only it worked like it was supposed to! I have 3 tvs in my man cave, two hooked to Comcast hd boxes, and one to a xbox360 which has xbox live on it, so I could stream the ESPN channels on that tv. I have the Roku 3 hooked up to my main tv (55" Vizio), and while I have only had the unit up and running since last night....I haven't had any sleep yet! I have Amazon Prime so the Amazon app works like a charm on the Roku 3, much better than the app on the Vizio tv, or not at all from the Logitech Revue. It is very responsive and the 1080 picture just looks great. I probably have 8 devices in this room which can stream Netflix, but not like the Roku 3 can.....the response time is great, the video and audio is great....needless to say I am impressed. Good job guys....you have done your homework....I am sold!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price AWESOME Roku! Just LOVE my new Roku 3! My preferred choice for watching videos and playing games. The setup process is quite simple even for someone like me who usually shies away from setting things up (I often ask someone to do it for me). The selection screen is very easy to navigate. The screens are in common sensical and logical order. I LOVE the fact that the remote has an earphone plug (earphones included that fit very comfortably) that delivers clear sound. This feature saves me from having to buy wireless earphones (which cost almost as much as the Roku 3!) to listen to the TV without bothering anyone else in the house. The remote also doubles as a gaming control that controls your curser by simply pointing toward the screen!! I highly recommend the Roku 3. Loads of fun! Thanks Roku!!! Keep up the wonderful work!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SO FRUSTRATING I can't seem to get the help needed to set up channels. This is for a disabled person and they just keep giving us the run around. We have no local support and getting help is impossible. We have to use a different computer site which is not working with the product.. Think before you buy since help is not is to find!!!!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from IRATE CUSTOMER IN FLORIDA IRATE EX CUSTOMER 2 ROKU 3s RETURNED! Coworker talked about Roku. I called ROKU BY PHONE, told customer service what kind of TVs I have and My Internet service is ATT UVERSE. They told me to buy 2 HD cables for $10 each along with the 2 ROKUs one for each TV. I got them in 8 days. I called their tech support to help me with set up. 2 hours on the phone trying again and again but the device would not read my Internet modem. Then, they give me PRIMARY AND SECONDARY DNS numbers and tell to Call ATT and have them change joy DNS numbers. I call ATT . I don't have a tech support plan, so they charge me $50 to speak to ATT TECH SUPPORT in India. Then after 30 more minutes, the guy tells me that my DNS numbers are assigned to my modem and can NEVER be change. 3 hrs in total wasted. Had to send COUNTLESS emails to ROKU begging for a return address. REpackaged devices, paid for return postage plus the cost of ATT service and now I have to wait more than 10 days to get them off my credit card. WHY THE HELL didn't they just tell me it wouldn't work with my system when I called them before placing the order. I live in the city in FL and not some remote place. No clue why it wouldn't work, and they don't know either. WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY. ------------------------------------

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a let down; No Youtube; No Network It is not that I was expecting a lot from Roku 3 when seeking two basic features in a "Streaming Player": 1. Youtube streaming - Come On, the largest video collection on the internet and Roku is unable to stream it? I just don't get it! 2. Home Network Streaming - Most of my home videos are now on my computers and other devices connected to my home network. If Roku, which brands itself as a "Streaming Player" cannot connect to my home network devices and play my home media, then why buy? I hope I am not alone in asking for two basic features that seemingly a lot of people use: Youtube and home videos. If I want to watch Netflix and a bunch of other streaming media, then my TV and Roku 2 have that capability, so to me the upgrade is useless. I will be returning mine as well as not recommending my friends, many of who have previous version Roku or other streaming players.
