You've probably heard people say, "Change can be a good thing." And we, being people ourselves, agree with that. Whether you are changing your watchband or your worldview, flipping the script can yield beautiful results.

But while a lot of people may *say* this about change, it's much harder to *show* it, which is why we're so excited about our new film series, "Why I Left." In collaboration with Charles Schwab, we asked a group of beloved Vimeo creators — including Celia Rowlson-Hall, Bas Berkhout, Isaac Gale, Bryan Schlam, Better Days, and Efran Films — to explore the upside of moving on.

From "Stuck" by James Curran

Every filmmaker was given the same instructions: Make a short film about why it can be good to leave someone or something behind. The results are touching, inspiring, and funny — it's entertainment that won't soon leave your memory.

Very well done. Your dancers and choreography are great, as is the editing. Perfect marriage of image and music. My only suggestion, and it's a small one, is the establishing wide shot which - for reasons I haven't analyzed - doesn't set the same standard as the rest of the cinematography. Not a gripe, at all, just an observation. Good job.

"You get a strange feeling when you're about to leave a place. Like you'll not only miss the people you love but you'll miss the person you are now at this time and this place, because you'll never be this way ever again."

that's a great quote - and so true! But in some cases, it's good to leave that person behind, right? :)

Nice Post!
Made a video inspired by the film Her. The sequence when she plays a song which is actually a photograph of them in that moment of life.

The film's about an almost middle-aged son who reconciles with his aging stepfather (who has Alzheimer's). The two never really got a long in the past and so the lone son must come to terms of having a stepfather who needs to be taken care of.

I'm not computer or Internet friendly. What I understand is our star's various levels, their interactions and why there is a polarity reversal. Add to that: cosmologists still wonder about the universe and its construction, but if one follows the diagram of the electron flow from p. 39, figure 12-1 of the Onan Corporation's basic electricity manual and places that with the ejected collimated stream of the Herbig-Haro 34 proto star, then the shape of a flat and expanding disk is real.

He came back into my life after 30+ years. The magic had grown even stronger. I was afraid. Terrified. But his love drew me out of the unhappy life I was leading; the tiny shell I had enclosed myself in. Gently, patiently, always there. Calling. Messaging. Reassuring me. He'd never given up. He'd hunted me, waiting for the right moment, all these years. Months of hot pursuit. Introduced me to his friends. Held me close, pulled me into his world. Come, my Princess he said. Share your life with me. One filled with love & happiness neither dreamed we'd ever know. I believed him. I opened my heart. Loved again. Learned his ways. Worked tirelessly. Filed for divorce. Sold my home to leave San Diego for Denver to be with him. Without warning or explanation, he turns 180 degrees. It won't work. He's "done" with me. Denies everything he said & did before. Nothing artful about it, What now?

Nice. I feel like everyone's been there with that job. It's amazing how much we're willing to put up with and for how long. Once you're on the other side, it always feels like, "why in the world did I wait so long?".

My name is Olivia Auxier and I'm a graduate student at the University of Southern California. I am studying digital entertainment and decided to do my final project this semester on Vimeo. It is essentially a case study on the company as a whole. One aspect of the final project involves interviewing someone who works at the company. We get graded on our ability to get an interview, not based on the information we receive.
I would love to speak with you about your job at Vimeo and the future of the company. I was wondering if you would be available to answer a few questions via email sometime in the next week. I can work around your schedule, of course.

If you have any questions about the project, you can contact me and I will send you my email.

Thank you for your time,
Olivia
