So Help Me Hera, The Wonder Woman Movie Will Have a Female Director

Now that DC has announced their tidal wave of superhero movies, it has been announced that Warner Bros. is shopping around for a female director to take on the Wonder Woman movie (starring Gal Godot). And their list of directors is pretty kickass.

IGN reports that Warner Brothers is specifically looking for a woman to direct the movie and their shortlist is not too shabby. At all:

According to Forbes, the list includes Catherine Hardwick (Twilight, Red Riding Hood), Mimi Leder (Deep Impact, The Leftovers), Julie Taymor (The Tempest, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark), Karyn Kusama (Aeon Flux, Jennifer's Body), Emmy winner Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead), Tricia Brock (The Walking Dead, Community), and Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow (Zero Dark Thirty, The Hurt Locker).

Yo could you imagine if Kathryn Bigelow directed a Wonder Woman movie? I feel like that would be pretty crazy though she probably would fit right in with the gritty + explosions thing DC has going for it right now. Honestly any of these women look like pretty rad options.
