Wendy Davis: A Governor Who Fights For ALL Texans

She came, she saw, she captivated the crowd of about 1500 students, staff, and Denton supporters at the University of North Texas Library Mall on Friday, September 5th. Wendy Davis, Democratic candidate for Governor of Texas, took to the podium to deliver her message of inclusion clearly reflecting the make-up of the crowd as they displayed signs reading “African-Americans for Wendy,” “Latinos for Wendy,” “Women for Wendy,” “LGBT for Wendy,” and others.

As she has in the past, Ms. Davis articulated her personal story of single motherhood but she also took the time to discuss other aspects of her platform and to meet and pose with local candidates who are also running for state office among them Daniel Moran for Texas State House, District 63,  (see photo on our Candidates pageAlex Mendoza for Texas State House, District 64, and David Heiman for Judge, District Court 367th.
