Last season, Vince Carter and Dirk Nowitzki were teammates in Big D.
While Nowitzki re-signed in Dallas (on a sweetheart deal), Carter jumped ship to Memphis (where he is a great fit). That makes them rivals in the deep West.
The two meet in a preseason game Monday and Carter showed he still has hops as he bounced up and shut down Dirk at the rim. Nice. You know they laughed about it after the game (it is preseason, after all).

Sorry, stopped following the NBA a while ago. If a league won’t enforce one of its main rules (traveling) then why invest time following it? I keep track of the NBA, but crab dribbles…
Anyway, mini-rant over, Carter is my age so he is reaching retirement age for athletes. Good to see a geezer like me still at it.

not surprising at all, Dirk isn’t known for power moves/dunks, and he didn’t go up strong at all.
You got to go to the rim with ill intent, but Dirk is too nice.
