Report: RG3 will start Sunday at Minnesota

Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III will start Sunday's game in Minnesota, sources within the organization told NBC4 in Washington. Griffin practiced fully Wednesday for the first time since dislocating his ankle Week 2, splitting first-team reps with Colt McCoy.

The team has not announced who will start at quarterback.

Report: Panthers' Greg Hardy to ask NFL to lift his paid leave

(9:06 pm ET) Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy will ask the NFL to lift his paid leave, according to Bleacher Report. 

Hardy's trial for domestic violence has reportedly been pushed back to the offseason. After playing Week 1, Hardy was placed on the Exempt/Commissioner's Permission list. Hardy's trial was initially expected to take place in mid-November. 


Chargers CB Jason Verrett has three tears in labrum

(7:44 pm ET) Chargers corner Jason Verrett has three tears in his labrum, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune

Verrett will eventually need surgery to repair the issue, but will attempt to return this season. He's expected to miss Week 9, and will use the team's bye to recover. Though it appears Verrett will try to return, there's no guarantee he'll play again this season. 


Report: Panthers end Greg Hardy to have trial pushed back

(7:24 pm ET) Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy will have his trial pushed back until after the season, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Hardy's trial was initially expected to take place in mid-November, but has been pushed until some time after the season. Hardy started the first game of the season for the Panthers before being placed on the Exempt/Commissioner's Permission list. Hardy is awaiting jury trial on domestic violence charges. 


Panthers' Kawann Short will try to play Thursday

Short came into the contest questionable due to an ankle injury. Short was able to put in limited practices all week. 


Panthers will have Nate Chandler, Jason Williams Week 9

Chandler is dealing with a thigh injury, but was considered probable heading into the game. Williams has a hip issue, but was also expected to play.

Williams missed the past couple weeks due to an ankle injury. After putting in limited work early in the week, Williams was able to practice in full Wednesday. He was listed as probable on the team's final injury report. 


Panthers list inactives for Thursday night

(7:14 pm ET) The Panthers have made Thomas DeCoud, Byron Bell, Amini Silatolu, Trai Turner, Philly Brown, Bene Benwikere, and Fozzy Whittaker inactive Week 9 against the Saints.

DeCoud was considered questionable coming into the contest due to a hamstring injury. Brown had previously been ruled out due to a concussion. The other five players are healthy scratches.

(7:06 pm ET) As expected, the Saints officially listed tight end Jimmy Graham active for Thursday's showdown against the Panthers. Graham, who has been dealing with a nagging shoulder injury, was limited in practice all week and was never in any danger of missing game action.

He has 39 catches for 435 yards and four touchdowns on the season.


Raiders WR Kenbrell Thompkins out due to personal issues

(4:58 pm ET) Raiders wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins missed Thursday practice with personal issues that Tony Sparano announced could keep him sidelined Sunday in Seattle.

Thompkins has just 10 catches for 87 yards and no touchdowns this season.
