The Crittenden Taproom in downtown Coudersport will host “Water Under The Bridge,” a dinner presentation by Public Herald co-founders Melissa Troutman and Joshua Pribanic, on Saturday, October 25th.  A buffet dinner featuring local produce, vegetarian and gluten-free options will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the presentation starts at 7:00.

“We’ll be releasing public files that haven’t seen the light of day, including maps of important information for property owners and public officials alike,” said Pribanic.

Public Herald, a nonprofit for investigative journalism, was awarded a grant in April 2014 from Investigative News Network and The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation to tour their acclaimed documentary Triple Divide across the United States. The team screened 34 times in 13 states since June 20th.

Triple Divide, named after Potter County’s triple continental divide, is the result of a 22-month report on how unconventional oil and gas extraction — aka fracking — is being handled by industry and government. The filmmakers do not draw conclusions about fracking, but instead rely on facts, science and impacted residents to speak for themselves.

Tesla Motors provided their top model all-electric vehicle for the tour, allowing the journalists to travel 15,000 miles without gasoline. Troutman and Pribanic will have the car on hand for attendees to get into before and after their presentation. Their program will include photography from the tour, stories on water across the nation, new investigations in Potter, Tioga and Bradford county, a new documentary project and ways the public is getting involved.
