FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA):

*Deadline for filing a claim is November 14th*

On September 14, 2013, President Obama issued a major disaster declaration for the State of Colorado triggering the release of Federal funds to help individuals and communities recover from the Severe Storms, Flooding, Landslides, and Mudslides that occurred from September 11, 2013 and continuing. Individuals in Boulder County can file a claim in the following ways:
  • Apply online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov.  
  • Apply via smartphone at m.fema.gov.
  • Call the registration phone number at 1-800-621-3362
  • Those who have a speech disability or hearing loss and use TTY should call 1-800-462-7585 directly 
  • For those who use 711 or Video Relay Service (VRS), call 1-800-621-3362.

Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Loans:

Low-interest federal disaster loans up are now available to Boulder County homeowners and business owners who have suffered damages due to the flooding.
  • Homeowners can receive loans up to $200,000 to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate. Additionally, up to $40,000 is available for similarly affected personal property.
  • Businesses of any size, including non-profit organizations, may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged business assets.
  • To learn more about these loans, please call FEMA at (800) 621-FEMA.

CITY SERVICES:
  • If you are looking to dispose of any flood-damaged debris, the City of Boulder and Boulder County have provided dumpsters for public use. Please use these dumpsters for spoiled food, damaged carpets, household materials and other flood-related debris.   • If your home or business is suffering from sewage backup, or any water seepage, please report the backup to the Emergency Call Center at (303) 413-7730 and ask for it to be reported to the City of Boulder Public Works. For safety information regarding sewage backups, please visit this link: http://tinyurl.com/bouldersewage
  • The City of Boulder is reporting that it continues to deliver safe drinking water. Boiling water is unnecessary.
