Nearly one fourth of the teams in this week’s composite national football rankings, put together by MaxPreps, are from the state of Texas.
Allen leads the way at No. 3 (tied for that spot), followed by Skyline at No. 11, Southlake Carroll at No. 15, Cedar Hill at No. 17, Manvel at No. 19 and DeSoto at No. 25.
The rankings are a combination of four polls: MaxPreps Xcellent 25 writers’ rankings, the MaxPreps computer rankings, USA Today Super 25 and PrepNation’s National Prep Poll.
