Former Mesquite Horn WR Taylor Gabriel putting together nice rookie season with Cleveland Browns

Rockwall coach Rodney Webb said receiver Xavier Castille, whom I wrote about a couple of weeks ago, reminds him of former Mesquite Horn receiver Taylor Gabriel. (Webb coached Gabriel at Horn before taking over at Rockwall).

That’s a nice compliment for Castille, because Gabriel is putting together a nice rookie season with the Cleveland Browns. Here is a highlight of Gabriel’s 43-yard reception in Sunday’s game against the Raiders.

For the season, Gabriel — who played college football for Abilene Christian — has 16 receptions for 317 yards (19.8 yards per catch). He should get his first touchdown soon.
