Joey Pustejovsky Jr., 29

Mr. Pustejovsky was the city secretary in West. He was a volunteer firefighter who responded to the fire. He was married with four children.(Read more about them here)

Robert Snokhous, 47 and Doug Snokhous, 50

Both longtime residents of West, the Snokhous brothers were volunteer firefighters who responded to the fire. They were both employed by Central Texas Iron Works in Waco. Robert was married with two children. Doug was married with two children.(Read more about them here)

Morris Bridges, 41

Mr. Bridges worked as a sprinkler foreman for Action Fire Pros in Waxahachie. He was a volunteer firefighter who responded to the fire. He was married with three children.(Read more about them here)

Cody Dragoo, 50

Mr. Dragoo was an employee of West Fertilizer Co. and was also a volunteer firefighter who responded to the fire. He was married.(Read more about them here)

Kenny Harris, 52

Capt. Harris worked at the Dallas Fire Department and lived in West and also owned Harris Home Inspections and Construction. He was on his way to assist firefighters when he died in the explosion. He was married with three sons.(Read more about them here)

Perry Calvin, 37

Mr. Calvin was a student at Hill College Fire Academy, a volunteer firefighter for the Navarro Mills and Mertens departments. He was in West taking an emergency medical technician class when the fire broke out and rushed to the site. Cyrus Reed, 29

Mr. Reed worked as an engineering mechanic at Titan Specialties in Milford, north of Hillsboro. He was a volunteer firefighter in Abbott and was in West taking an emergency medical technician class when the fire broke out and rushed to the site.(Read more about them here)

Jerry Chapman, 26

Mr. Chapman worked as a server at the Black-Eyed Pea restaurant in Hillsboro and was a volunteer firefighter in Abbott. He was in West taking an emergency medical technician class when the fire broke out and rushed to the site.(Read more about them here)

Kevin Sanders, 33

Mr. Sanders worked at area veterinary clinics and was a volunteer firefighter with the Bruceville Eddy department. He was a member of the West EMS who responded to the fire.

William “Buck” Uptmor, 45

Mr. Uptmor was the owner of Uptmor Welding and Fencing in Abbott and had gone to the fire to round up horses and get them away from the site. He was married with three children.(Read more about them here)

Jimmy Matus, 52

Mr. Matus was the owner of Westtex Welding in West and had gone to the fire to help out.

Adolph H. Lander, 96

Mr. Landers was a veteran of World War II and retired farmer. He lived in the nursing home that was severely damaged by the explosion.

Mariano C. Saldivar, 57

Mr. Saldivar was an immigrant from Mexico who had previously worked in California. He had retired in West five years ago and lived in the apartment complex that was destroyed by the blast. He was married with four children.

Judith Monroe, 65

Ms. Monroe was a residence of the apartment complex that was destroyed by the blast. No other information available.
