And with that, Carmelo Anthony‘s acting career was launched. (Actually, it was already launched on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU, but you get the idea.)
What you see above is a six-second clip (thank you VINE) of the latest episode of FX’s “Sons of Anarchy,” a show that a number of my friends love (and are sad it is in its last season) but honestly not one I’ve watched any of. It’s on my list of things to get to, right after The Wire, which I have yet to start. Anyway, Anthony plays a knife-wielding henchman (other clips show the knife, check out Posting and Toasting). He makes a good henchmen… well, not on the court but off it.
Wednesday night the Knicks tip-off the season and the question there is what role will Anthony play in the triangle: Ball stopping, volume-shooting forward or ball-moving, in-the-flow team leader? Phil Jackson cast him as the latter, but we shall see.

I was sitting there like “WAIT. THAT’S CARMELO ANTHONY!” as my girlfriend rolled her eyes. It’s the one show besides Homeland I make her watch with me. I’m pretty happy it actually turned out to be him because trying to explain to my native Boston girlfriend that that was the biggest star on the Knicks got me some strange looks lol

Soa is a fake tough guy show. Definitely check out the wire though one of the best shows ever.

to think of all the struggling actors waiting tables to survive and he gets a credit for standing for 5 seconds in the one of the best shows on TV. the other being Justified which is also in it’s final season starting in January. that is another show you should put on your list to see.
