Joshua Pribanic is Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of the investigative news nonprofit Public Herald. He began work as an investigative journalist in Ohio before moving to Pennsylvania, where he built a foundation of investigations on fracking. Melissa Troutman began investigating shale gas extraction as a newspaper reporter in her hometown of Coudersport, Pennsylvania before joining editor Joshua Pribanic to co-found the investigative news nonprofit Public Herald and eventually create Triple Divide. She has experience as a traditional print and multimedia journalist with a flare for photography, teaching, songwriting, and dance. As Manager Editor at Public Herald Melissa strives to unearth, or sometimes dust off and reorganize, meaningful stories that are valuable to all readers. Amanda Gillooly is an award-winning investigative reporter who has published with a number of news agencies: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Patch.com, the Observer-Reporter, Beaver County Times, DesmogBlog and more. A graduate of Point Park University, she currently serves as the editor of Marcellus Monitor, a website devoted to investigative reporting on shale issues in Western Pennsylvania and beyond. She joined with Public Herald in May 2014 as part of a growing team supporting investigative journalism.

At a young age, Simone Robinson fell in love with storytelling. First attracted to tales of vampires and werewolves, her affection for stories transformed to poetry stanzas and newspaper articles. However, her own storytelling never stopped at words on paper. She nurtured an interest in photography, and later film that inspired a new goal for her to become a photojournalist and filmmaker. With these skills realized she wants to give others a platform to find strength in their voices and share their stories.

Tristan joined Public Herald as an independent fashion designer and artist from Brooklyn/Queens NY, with experience as a entrepreneur, blogger, and architect. As a database journalist he’ll be working on developing data sets for Public Herald’s Open Source “#fileroom” project. He enjoys Japanese Anime, 3D printing, skateboarding, fashion, libraries and conservation efforts to save the world. His favorite book is “Where the Wild things are?”
LAUREL DAMMANN: EDITORIAL INTERN

Laurel Dammann’s internal catchphrase is “question everything.” Perhaps inevitably, that mantra led her down a path of investigative journalism and into her internship at Public Herald. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, she concentrated in Journalism, Film, and French and has a particular passion for interview, documentary, and the editing processes of both writing and film. She has published work at MovieMaker Magazine, Print Magazine, and Art Business News. Laurel was forever marked by encounters with performance artist Penny Arcade and Sarah Lawrence College professor and former The New Yorker editor, Alice Truax.
