Crisscrossing generations, nationalities, processes, and approaches, this exhibition is the first in 40 years to examine the development of abstraction and dimensionality in fiber art. 

Ragnar Kjartansson: The Visitors

A celebration of creativity, community, and friendship, The Visitors documents a 64-minute durational performance Kjartansson staged with some of his closest friends.

ICA Collection: In Context

This exhibition explores social and political issues as well as the transformation of genres such as landscape, and the expansion of the medium to encompass drawing, photography, sculpture, and video.

JACK Quartet

The acclaimed JACK Quartet returns to the ICA with the Boston premiere of Georg Friedrich Haas’s third string quartet, “In iij. Noct,” a composition acclaimed and notorious for its unusual staging in complete darkness.

Wot? No Fish!!

Together with director Nick Phillippou, writer and performer Danny Braverman tells the story of his great uncle in a captivating performance that will resonate with audiences of all ages.

First Fridays: Hooked & Twisted

Celebrate the opening of Fiber: Sculpture 1960–present, featuring pioneering art works made out of everyday materials like yarn, rope, and thread. Take a tour, make your own fiber-inspired creation with local artists, and cut a rug on the dance floor with DJ Stenny.
