LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - The full autopsy report for a 23-year-old Longview man shot by police in August was released on Wednesday.Longview police say Regan Marshall Wagner died at a hospital after being shot by Longview officer Johnny Lyons during a traffic stop in the 400 block of Delwood Drive near Akin Park.

The autopsy shows Wagner was shot four times - three times in the left arm and once in the left side of his back.

Wagner's mother said in August that she still has a lot of questions about the death of her son, saying the incident "doesn't make any sense."

Regan Wagner has had past run-ins with the police department.

Earlier in 2014, Wagner pleaded guilty to making abusive 911 calls and threatening a police officer in September 2013. In May, he was sentenced to two years probation and one year in county jail because of his 911 threats. However, according to Gregg County records the jail sentence was suspended until 2015.

Lyons, who was not injured during the incident, was placed on administrative leave while the Texas Rangers investigated the shooting. He has since returned to duty.

The officer has spent the majority of his law enforcement career at the Longview Police Department. Before his 22 years in Longview, he worked for a month at the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office as a jailer. According to state records, Lyons has a master peace officer's license and 2,800 hours of training. In 2013, Lyons took courses in the use of force, less lethal device training, defensive tactics and firearms.

The autopsy was completed by the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
