Temperatures have dropped pretty quickly after sunset and due to the cold front that moved through the area last night and this morning.
For tonight, expect mostly clear skies, winds still out of the northeast 5-10 mph and temperatures a bit chilly with lows expected in the upper 40s.
Winds will shift back to the south on Thursday allowing warmer air to filter into the region, but clear sunny skies are expected with highs reaching the mid 70s. Then overnight into Friday, another cold front will move through East Texas bringing even chillier weather to the area. A spotty shower or two is certainly possible, but most of us will be staying dry. Although morning lows on Friday will still be in the low 50s, highs should only reach the upper 60s under sunny skies.
Your Halloween evening forecast looking clear, but a bit chilly. The ghouls and goblins may need to wear a jacket as temperatures will really start dropping once the sun sets, into the 50s.
Saturday morning could see the coldest temperatures of the season with models indicating lows in the upper 30s and highs only in the upper 50s to near 60! Right now still a few days out to know for sure, but the takeaway is that we are in for some much cooler temperatures this weekend.
By next week, we're watching a system that could bring heavier rains to East Texas on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will continue to watch it as it gets closer.
