Can someone connect the dots for me on IHS Global Insight, or IHS Global State, ???? They seem to keep releasing the same report over-and-over again moving state-to-state with the same numbers. 44,000 jobs in every state and a magical 267k jobs over 20 years. HA, these gas wells (HVHF) only last about 7 years. The ground is fracked, the water and air polluted, the gas is gone in 10 years and the jobs with them. What numbers are they twisting, who are they, and who are they funded by???

Regarding Global Insight and reports:
Shale, Other Unconventional Natural Gas Supports More than 1 Million US Jobs Today; Nearly 1.5 Million By 2015, IHS Study Finds
Dozens of states — whether producing gas or supplying the industry — to benefit

Buried down in the “press release” at the link:
The studies were commissioned by America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA).

One of ANGAs original “founders” was Aubrey McClenddon, CEO of Chesapeake Energy.
