Top Texas Tea Party candidates crushed on endorsements

The Houston Chronicle has a detailed summary of Newspaper endorsements across the state. The top of the Tea Party ticket received only 2 endorsements out of 24 from the major papers across the State.

Abbott received the nod from the Dallas Morning News and Star Telegram while his running mates were snubbed across the board. Dan Patrick has received the endorsement from the usual white-wing papers such as Whiteman's Time and Coward's Express News and only 1 endorsement from the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. The Chronicle could not find a paper that endorsed Ken Paxton probably because he will be investigated once he takes office. And Glenn Hegar received 1 recommendation from The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

Both Sam Houston and Mike Collier had strong endorsements across the state probably because out of the bunch they are the most qualified to take office. Unfortunately Hegar and Paxton have one thing going for them, they have an (R) behind their names. They aren't the best candidates running for office, both have a history of screwing up, and both have made it clear how they will govern which is in the best interest of the party and not the state.

Leticia Van De Putte has every endorsement except the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal and rightfully so.  Obviously the best candidate in the entire ticket running against an incredible wacko. Unfortunately the Texas Tea Party seem to like wackos. They thrive on racism. They are thrilled at the chance to kick someone in the teeth. This is who they are. This might be what Texas has become. Sad.
